Inspired by the “VERY ELEGANT and BEAUTIFUL Crochet Stitch” tutorial by Crochet Knitting Sort, this pattern utilizes a unique combination of double crochet clusters and chain spaces to create a dense, yet airy fabric with incredible drape. The resulting lace lattice is perfect for garments that require both structure and flow, such as a stylish blouse, a luxurious shawl, or a lightweight scarf. We call this the Golden Lattice Stitch.
This pattern is written for a versatile Rectangular Scarf/Wrap, which can be easily adapted to a blouse or garment panel by following the stitch multiple.

Stitch Multiple: Chain a multiple of 4 + 3 for the foundation row.
Part 1: The Golden Lattice Stitch Pattern
The wrap is worked flat, back and forth in rows.

Step 1: Foundation Chain
Determine your desired width. For a 15-inch wide scarf, Chain 67 (a multiple of 4 + 3, giving 16 full repeats).
Foundation Row (Setup – RS):
- SC in the 2nd Ch from hook and in each Ch across. Ch 3 (counts as 1st DC), turn.
Step 2: The Four-Row Repeat
Row 1 (V-Stitch Row – WS):
- DC in the same St (the first SC).
- *Ch 1, Sk 1 SC, V-st (DC, Ch 1, DC) in the next SC. Rep from * across.
- End with Ch 1, Sk 1 SC, DC in the last SC. Ch 3 (counts as 1st DC), turn.

Row 2 (Cluster Row – RS):
- Work 3 DC into the first Ch-1 Sp.
- *SC in the center Ch-1 Sp of the next V-st.
- Work TC (3 DC, Ch 1, 3 DC) into the next Ch-1 Sp (the space between the V-sts). Rep from * across.
- End with SC in the center Ch-1 Sp of the last V-st, 4 DC into the last Ch-1 Sp (the space between the last V-st and the turning chain). Ch 3 (counts as 1st DC), turn.
Row 3 (Lace Row – WS):
- DC in the next 3 DC.
- *Ch 1, SC in the Ch-1 Sp of the next TC.
- Ch 1, DC in the next 7 Sts (This includes the 3 DC from the TC, the SC, and the next 3 DC from the following TC). Rep from * across.
- End with Ch 1, SC in the Ch-1 Sp of the last TC, Ch 1, DC in the remaining 4 Sts (the 3 DC cluster and the turning chain). Ch 3 (counts as 1st DC), turn.

Row 4 (V-Stitch Placement – RS):
- DC in the next 3 DC.
- *Ch 1, SC in the next Ch-1 Sp.
- Ch 1, DC in the next 3 DC.
- Work V-st in the next DC (the one at the center of the 7-DC group from Row 3).
- DC in the next 3 DC. Rep from * across.
- End with Ch 1, SC in the next Ch-1 Sp, Ch 1, DC in the remaining 4 Sts. Ch 3 (counts as 1st DC), turn.
Repeat: Continue repeating Rows 1-4 until the wrap reaches your desired length (approximately 65 inches), ending on a Row 4 repeat.
Part 3: Edging and Finishing
A simple finishing row is added to stabilize the end edge.
Final Row (SC Stabilization):
- Ch 1, turn. SC in the first St.
- SC in each DC and Ch-1 Sp across the row. Work 2 SC in the center Ch-1 Sp of each V-st.
- End with SC in the top of the turning chain.

Finishing:
- Fasten off yarn and weave in all ends securely using a tapestry needle.
- Blocking is highly recommended: This stitch pattern truly shines after blocking. Gently wet or steam block your wrap, pinning the edges to open up the lattice and enhance the drape. Allow to dry completely.
Your Golden Lattice Wrap is now ready to add a touch of timeless elegance to any outfit!
